App won't allow for export of templates but are completely fine with importing.

Horrible support, lack of responsiveness, their response was vague and dismissive. Furthermore, the app started having issues due to some permissions, so I figured I'll try different plugin, and cancel my subscription. I did cancel the subscription but two days later I was still charged.(made sure to double check the subscription from Google and from within Magical's "Billing" page before it renewed). Their support claimed that I was still active and subscribed, even though the system would not show this in any way. If I was still subscribed, how about making it visible on the billing's page. I have received a single email from May 13th on this case which is automated yet poorly written.

Been using the paid version for years but for the past few months it made my chrome laggy and chrome crashes a lot of times. I tried troubleshooting a lot of things just to find out that it's Magical causing the problem. After uninstalling this extension, the problem was gone. I recently switched to Text Blaze which is much cheaper and isn't causing me issues so far.

This was good when it was free and called Auto Text Expander. Then Magical bought it and made it horrible. Paid features, ads, and it's just awful. It you want the old Auto Text Expander back that's free with no ads or BS, look up Free Auto Text Expander. It's just like the old Auto Text Expander before Magical ruined it.

I've loved magical for years but it kept getting worse. It started with some lags and needing to reload the extension which was tolerable but the last 6 months the extension keeps needing to be repaired constantly and is unusable at times. Today, something new happened -- ALL of my snippets were randomly deleted. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have back ups so 3 years worth of snippets are down the drain. I will be starting from scratch with Text Blaze. I used to be a huge advocate of magical and would recommend it to colleagues and friends but not anymore....I am so disappointed.

This extension is good and productive. However sometimes the triggers dont occur (15 percent of the time) and you must retype the entire prompt.

Pasadena Pest Control

Doesn't work at all for teams, THERE IS NO SUPPORT, LITERALLY, and they charge during the free trial. They also have an AI support rep, Sam, illegally claiming he's human.

Arvind Pallela

Very useful if used properly

Great app for work, and I like it, but our live team syncs were still a mess, no clear focus and no final decisions. Instead of migrating to some massive new meeting platform, we just installed the Minute Minder extension. It pulls data right from the calendar to draft an agenda that you can share with attendees before or during the meeting. During the call, it gives you calm control with a visible timer and milestone cues. At the end, it nudges you to lock in decisions with an outcome card. No extra logins, just perfectly time-boxed meetings.

the worst customer support service I have ever dealt with, had an urgent situation, was nervous like hell, they promise to respond in 1 business days, well, guess what, don't wait for them to reply, and not even "we're sorry", rude, unprofessional, ugly and the worst ever, I would have rated minus million stars if I could.

very helpful

Marble Life

make easy my daily task, Awesome

Fabio Montefuscolo

you have to give your data just to try the extension

Shadrack Simons

The extention is super good

Camilo Soler

There are a lot of free apps like this!

Felipe Vasquez Sierra

Do not use it, after 14 days, they will ask you to subscribe. If you don't, the tool becomes unusable.

Cleiton Santos

Extremely useful for those who work in callcenters.

Mike Wood

Why do I need to "sign up" to have an autocomplete feature work in Chrome? This should be just tied to the browser (or Google account if logged in to Chrome and tracking across computers).

Lang MacDougall

Was a handy extension for repetitive tasks. Slowly, functions that were free and limitless, became limited and paid-only. Now there is straight up no free version of Magical. Use Blaze instead. Leave Magical to rot.

Philip

it crashes your computer when you download it first. but even after i don't understand how to get it working to form fill

Dewa

Helpfull,,bravo

Chris

This was a very useful tool that I've used occasionally over the years to auto-populate repetitive text and scripts, but they've recently discontinued their free plan, and the cost of the paid plan is not even close to justifiable. Yet another greedy company.

Christos Vazouras

Completely useless. I have a Microsoft Form and this joke gives the message Hmmm... no fields found. But I know very well that this is a form with fields because I fill them manually. They are not magicians, they are clowns.

Samantha Wicker

This extension is very helpful and improves my efficiency. It always worked very well and I never have had problems with it. Unfortunately, after years of use they are making us pay for it. $6/month is lowkey crazy for a text expander. I don't even want to pay that every month for Netflix. I just moved all my templates to a different free extension. If you are willing to pay $72 a year for this, by all means go ahead, but while the service is a good one I don't think it is worth all that when there are free options on the market.

Justin Knoke

They are banking on the high amount of positive reviews they had from when the product was free, to get people to pay for it after that was revoked. I'm just going to copy all of my stuff to another program. Either start with it paid or not at all

Marco Livio

Absolutely disgusting. The app has had several evolutions (in my opinion pejorative and invasive) until suddenly it has been paid without any warning and at absurd prices. No daily action is free. EVERYTHING COMPLETELY PAID. I abandon and will speak very badly about this extension to my work colleagues. One star is too much.

Danni Green

Not impressed there is now 0/0 Daily text expansions and they are now making us pay (even though they are still advertising on here as 'free'. Was great before that and recommended it a lot. Not anymore. Bye Magical.

Charlotte Veri

I was speaking with my friend about the everyday challenges of repetitive emails and tasks. She recommended I try the free version of Magical and already I have noticed a huge difference in the amount of time I saved allowing me to focus my energy on higher value outputs to increase my production.

Azmi Refal

The best AI tool That i have used so far, Please keep the good work.

Shehzad K

I am only using it's shortcut feature yet its an important feature for me as I dont have to go about searching or typing the same message each time.
